Soteriou & Mathaiou Law Office was established on 18 January 2024 by Stavros Soteriou and Demetris Matheou, two lawyers who share a vision of creating a modern, reliable and people-focused law firm, built on integrity, professionalism and trust.
Co-founder
Stavros Soteriou is a graduate of the School of Law at the University of Nicosia, holder of a Master’s degree (MSc) in Economics & Business Law from Democritus University of Thrace, and certified in Arbitration by the Cyprus Center for Alternative Dispute Resolution.

Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from the University of Nicosia and a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from the University of Cyprus, combining legal expertise with a strong understanding of governance and public administration.

Partner
Andreas Christoforou was born in Ammochostos in 1962. He is a graduate of Acropolis High School and holds a Law Degree from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, from which he graduated in 1985. He was admitted to the Cyprus Bar Association on 17 January 1987, marking the beginning of a distinguished legal career.

In 1988, he joined the Ministry of Labour as a Public Prosecutor for matters concerning the Department of Labour Inspection, and in 1990 he was appointed to the Law Office of the Republic of Cyprus, where he served for more than three decades.
